Training Cancellation Procedure
Training Cancellation Procedure

It is the responsibility of each age group coach to inspect the training facility and make a decision for their own age group only, based solely on the Health and Safety implications for the children. On occasions the facility may not be suitable for younger players, but perfectly acceptable to older ones.

No cancellation of training should be confirmed before 6:00 pm on Friday.   This notification should be via email, text message or telephone on the Friday evening.   It is the coaches responsibility to ensure that all parents are aware of this procedure, and that it is the parents responsibility to check emails/text messages for cancellation notifications.

Coaches can decide to leave their pitch inspections to Saturday mornings, provided this is done early enough, and that a time efficient cancellation notification is used, i.e. text message or telephone (email is not acceptable in these cases).   Again, all parents should be made aware of this procedure.

ALL OF THE ABOVE IS AUTOMATICALLY OVER-RULED SHOULD:

The Council postpone training based on their assessment of the Stray, and potential damage that could be caused.

If a Council cancellation is received, it is the responsibility of each age group to inform parents using whichever notification method, as early as possible.   The 6:00 pm Friday rule does not apply for Council cancellations.
